Gear and Equipment

Coolum Beach SLSC has a wide range of gear and equipment that we make available to members for both training and competing with. This includes:

  • Racing Mals
  • Surf Skis
  • Surf Boats
  • IRBs
  • Reels
  • Miscellaneous equipment (eg. tubes, fins etc)

Please remember when you are using equipment that is the property of the club, you have responsibility for maintaining it at the highest level.

Every year the cost of repairs and maintenance for careless use of equipment runs into thousands of dollars and it is in everyone’s best interest to respect the Club equipment.

ALL DAMAGE MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO THE CLUB’S GEAR STEWARD

Board and ski competitor surf sports equipment is allocated at the start of the season by the Surf Sports Officer in liaison with the club’s Gear Steward, and Board and Ski Captain.

The allocation of equipment and purchase of new equipment is guided by the club’s Board and Ski Allocation Policy and Equipment Funding Policy, both of which are available on under the Policy Documents section of Team App.

GEAR & EQUIPMENT ALLOCATIONS

Boards and skis will be allocated at club training sessions, to be allocated equipment you must be attending club training. If you miss more than 4 weeks of training you may lose your allocated equipment. The craft you are allocated will be a representation of how dedicated you are to training, your skill level, whether you are competing, and how much you help with things such as nippers water safety. If you ding or damage your allocated equipment, it is your responsibility to have it repaired and pay for its repair
