**MEMBERSHIPS FOR THE 2024/2025 NIPPER SEASON HAVE NOW CLOSED**

Coolum Beach Nippers provides a fun and educational beach experience for children aged 5 to 13 years, fostering confidence and teaching essential beach safety and surf awareness skills. As Nippers progress through various age groups, they receive lessons in wading, running, flags, ocean swimming, board paddling, and lifesaving skills, including resuscitation and first aid

Fees

Joining our club not only connects you with Nippers but also the Coolum family, offering new friendships and connections. Our membership fees include:

Nipper Membership

Sunday and mid-week training sessions

Access to BBQ facilities & club amenities

Family social events

Nipper carnivals nomination fees

Long sleeve pink rash shirt and colored nipper cap

Use of nipper equipment for training

Branch Subscription & Insurance

Our Nipper fee structure for current season is outlined below.

1. Nipper Family Group: $250 (includes 1 Nipper + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

2. Nipper Family Group: $400 (includes 2 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

3. Nipper Family Group: $465 (includes 3 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

4. Nipper Family Group: $530 (includes 4 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

To ensure our program is accessible to all, we also accept FairPlay vouchers, which can be emailed to us at slsc@coolumbeach.com.au.

Key Information

As a volunteer-led program, parental involvement is key to our success. From Age Managers to Beach Set Up & our BBQs, there are many ways to get involved and have fun while doing it! This not only helps the program run smoothly but also drives a more connected community. Since our program connects with children, all nipper parents are required to obtain a current blue card for their child to participate. This is a legislative requirement and is free to obtain.

Our Season

Our Nipper season runs every Sunday from mid-September to early March, between 7:50am – 10:15am (Under 6-8s: 7:50am – 9:15am). While our program includes beach learning and some swimming components, please note that it is not a learn-to-swim program. Children must demonstrate basic swimming skills to participate, which you can learn more about in our Nipper Handbook. To join us this season, watch for notifications around July each year or email your interest to slsc@coolumbeach.com.au.
