Thanks Patrol 3

We would like to acknowledge the efforts from Patrol 3 last Saturday afternoon (7th of October 2023)

Dan R and Gordon W, along with the Waverunner, stayed out on duty until 6:00pm in closing darkness and atrocious condition (pelting rain and hectic seas) to assist in the search for a reported missing craft user. SurfComm put out the request just on packup (not uncommonly) and they  assisted until they were requested to stand down just after 6:00pm

A special mention for the others on Patrol 3, especially Helen Clifton, Nicole Woods and Kathy Sundstrom. As just as packup was completed, an elderly patron attending the Back To Coolum function had a nasty fall resulting in bleeding injuries. These ladies, headed by Helen, tended 1^st aid to the gentleman after they had clocked off duty. Once the patient was stabilised, Kathy and her husband assisted in getting him to the hospital and then back to his home in Tewantin.

Their time to be there for the patient, in abnormal circumstances and hours, is appreciated.

Big congratulations to all involved for going well above and beyond what is expected of them!!
