2024 Ocean Roar IRB Series - Round 4

It was an exciting event filled with outstanding performances and unforgettable moments for the team at Round 4 of the 2024 Sharskin IRB Ocean Roar Series
In the 45+ Teams category, our team once again showcased their prowess by securing an impressive 2nd place. This consistent high performance underscores the dedication and skill of our veteran members.
Our 35+ Female Surf team demonstrated their competitive edge, earning a well-deserved 3rd place. Additionally, the 35+ Female Mass team delivered an exceptional performance, finishing in 2nd place. These results highlight the strength and determination of our female athletes, who continue to set high standards in their categories.
A significant milestone was also achieved by our Open Mixed Assembly team, who made their first-ever semi-final appearance. This breakthrough achievement signals the growing talent and potential within our team, promising even greater success in the future.
After competing in the Ocean Roar Series, Coolum finished 10th on the overall points score from the 15 clubs that competed in the Series.
The Team is now gearing up and getting ready to compete at the QLD State Titles which is at Mooloolaba on the 6th & 7th of July. Come on down and support the team as the continue their momentum and looking to take out some of those medals on offer.
Congratulations to all our participants for their hard work and exceptional performances. Let's keep this momentum going as we look forward to more achievements in the upcoming carnivals!

Not ready to become part of Coolum Surf Club but still want to help?
It takes a lot of money to run a surf lifesaving club; from the equipment needed on the beach (vehicles, boards, IRBs, first aid kits, defibrillators etc) to administration and training to facilitate patrolling.

Coolum Beach SLSC Nippers
Does your child want to become a Nipper?
Looking for a fun summer sport where your kids will learn essential surf safety skills, gain confidence in the ocean, and meet new friends?
Coolum Nippers is the answer! Nippers run from the September school holidays to February/March and is open to kids from 5 to 12 yrs.
Not only will they learn surf safety and what surf lifesaving is all about, but also have the opportunity to compete in carnivals and have mid-week training to improve their skills.
