Congratulations Del!

Del received the Dick Lugge award - given to a club member who prioritises keeping the beach safe and the ethos of lifesaving

Del is an all rounder, who has clocked up hours & hours of water safety, taken on extra patrolling shifts, dealt with gear repairs and when help is needed for bbqs, events, clean ups, audits ………consistently puts up their hand. Whilst being supportive and encouraging other members.

This season this volunteer confidently stepped up as patrol captain, this is in between wearing his pink rashie at regular board training sessions, at the Kennedy cup swim or enjoying catching waves on his racing mal with fellow members - and as a result having his surf skills greatly improve.

In addition to this award, thanks for having given two years as Gear and Equipment Stewart and assisting in many ways the betterment of our club.

Looking for a fun summer sport where your kids will learn essential surf safety skills, gain confidence in the ocean, and meet new friends?

Coolum Nippers is the answer! Nippers run from the September school holidays to February/March and is open to kids from 5 to 12 yrs.

Not only will they learn surf safety and what surf lifesaving is all about, but also have the opportunity to compete in carnivals and have mid-week training to improve their skills.
