SLS Sunshine Coast Branch Awards of Excellence

Last Friday night the Sunshine Coast Awards of Excellence dinner was held at Sunshine Beach SLSC.
 
Congratulations to John Roderick who was awarded the prestigious Clive Hammond Medal which recognises individuals who have made an outstanding and special contribution to the development and wellbeing of their Club or Branch.
John has been a key part of our club in a number committee roles, including President, Secretary, CTO, Patrol Captain and Trainer and Assessor over many years. In addition over the last couple of year John has taken on the Peregian Beach SLSC President role facilitating, in consultation with Branch and Noosa Heads SLSC,  the ongoing transition of the Peregian Beach SLSC from a Branch run entity to a stand-alone club. Well done John, a very deserving recipient. All the best for the state level.
 
Special mention to Anthony Waring who was a finalist for the Lifesaver of the Year award and Delaney Rowe who was a finalist for Volunteer of the Year. Both were very deserving finalists and up against a lot of competition.
