Congratulations Coolum Thundercrackers!

It was a huge day on the beach for all. Eight races is quite the effort, the usual is five or six in a day, so it was great endurance training.

The swell in the surf was welcome, it really allows for some interesting racing. You need a mix of power, surf skill, team work, coordination and speed.

Results for the day:

Race one -1st

Race two - 2nd

Race three - 1st

Race four - 3rd

Race five - 2nd

Quarter final -2nd

Semi-final -1st

Final -1st!

The next Ocean Thunder dates are as follows:

-Saturday 10th December 2022

-Saturday 7th January 2023

-Saturday 4th February 2023

Coolum Nippers is the answer! Nippers run from the September school holidays to February/March and is open to kids from 5 to 12 yrs.

Not only will they learn surf safety and what surf lifesaving is all about, but also have the opportunity to compete in carnivals and have mid-week training to improve their skills.
