Member of the Month - November

There are a lot of people in Coolum Surf Club who deserve this award.  What makes Oli stand out this month is his age.  He recently gained his qualification as a Bronze Medallion Trainer. To achieve this, he firstly assisted and then ran 2 courses as head trainer. 

Oli is also an Age Manager for the U12 Nippers and recently competed at the Coolangatta Gold as an individual which is quite an achievement for anyone.

Oli is definitely following the example set by his parents who both put heaps into our club.  So, a big pat on the back for the Sweetman’s.

Here are a few comments for Oli from his Bronze course attendees:

1. We felt so safe in the water with Oli there
2. He explained things well
3. He was very patient
4. He brought a good vibe and attitude to the course

 

I’m sure everyone would agree that at age 18, this is an outstanding effort for someone so young.
