2022 SLS Sunshine Coast U17 to Masters Branch Championships
Published: February 23, 2022 Last Updated: February 28, 2022
Branch titles this year was hosted by Mooloolaba SLSC, last Saturday in sunny conditions with 1-2 foot swell, a welcomed change in weather compared to what we have had for the last few months. We had five female and seven male Masters competitors represent our club. There were lots of great results across flags, sprints, surf, ski races and board team events, a high light was Greg Bott grabbing a sliver in the 65+ yrs Male Iron. This carnival has been been a great taste tester for new members gearing up for Masters QLD State Titles (Friday the 4th – 5th of March.
In Summary Coolum was well represented across male and female Master’s categories, great memories from the day with Jacqui Doyle competing in her very first individual ski race (30-44yrs – silver medal) well done Jacqui and Anthony Waring and Del Rowe coming in on the same wave in the final Board Relay leg – Coolum winning Gold and Silver in the 150 years Mixed Board Relay.
Congratulations to all that competed, thank you to Greg Woodward our Sport Officer, Coach Nic, Jodie Waring, family members, club members supporting us and the committee for funding our uniforms, nomination fees and use of club equipment, however our true hero's were Collin L, Sharleen S and Ernie B our reliable officials walking the beach all day, thanks a MILLION.

Support Coolum Surf Club
Not ready to become part of Coolum Surf Club but still want to help?
It takes a lot of money to run a surf lifesaving club; from the equipment needed on the beach (vehicles, boards, IRBs, first aid kits, defibrillators etc) to administration and training to facilitate patrolling.
So if you can't join us, support us through one of the following options.
Coolum Beach SLSC Nippers
