Member of the Month - February
Published: March 02, 2023 Last Updated: March 02, 2023
Member of the month for February 2023 is Logan Pieters
For a young bloke who has only just got his licence to drive, the additional time outside of rostered patrols Logan puts in is truly outstanding.
He has over 950 patrol hours over the years he has been with us, and also volunteers as our Radio Officer (for three years now).
He is not yet 18 years of age and has his Bronze, Jet Ski and IRB Drivers tickets. He is a Drone Pilot for Surfcom and volunteers for them at Mooloolaba some weekends. On top of this, he does paid and voluntary community Surf Awareness programmes.
Logan has recently passed his entry test to join the Police Force. We wish him well and hope he gets in. (If he pulls you up – don’t argue. I’m sure he will know all the rules).
Logan’s mum told me that everything Logan commits to he does 110% (except for cleaning his room).
Outstanding effort and commitment to your club Logan. You truly deserve this award. Coolum Surf Life Saving Club thanks you.
If you would like to nominate anyone for member of the month, please let the Admin team or Member Officer know.

Support Coolum Surf Club
Not ready to become part of Coolum Surf Club but still want to help?
It takes a lot of money to run a surf lifesaving club; from the equipment needed on the beach (vehicles, boards, IRBs, first aid kits, defibrillators etc) to administration and training to facilitate patrolling.
So if you can't join us, support us through one of the following options.
Coolum Beach SLSC Nippers
Does your child want to become a Nipper?
Looking for a fun summer sport where your kids will learn essential surf safety skills, gain confidence in the ocean, and meet new friends?
Coolum Nippers is the answer! Nippers run from the September school holidays to February/March and is open to kids from 5 to 12 yrs.
Not only will they learn surf safety and what surf lifesaving is all about, but also have the opportunity to compete in carnivals and have mid-week training to improve their skills.
